As stewards of the ICAA, we carry a deep responsibility to uplift the voices, rights, and aspirations of Indigenous peoples across Alberta. This past year has been one of both reflection and action, as we continue to advance our mission of supporting Indigenous self-determination, cultural preservation, and meaningful partnerships with communities, organizations, and governments. 

We remain guided by the wisdom of our Elders, the strength of our ancestors, and the resilience of our peoples. The Board acknowledges the ongoing challenges faced by Indigenous communities, including systemic inequities, cultural erosion, and environmental threats. Yet, we also recognize the powerful resurgence taking place across our Nations—grounded in language revitalization, community empowerment, and youth leadership.
